This Jianshui Puerh tea Jar was custom handmade for ANMO with our design. It is limited to 4 pieces only.
With creating a versatile storage vessel in mind we chose a medium size and a clay with a higher vitrification rate to suit every tea you would want to store in it. For this purpose Jianshui clay was the optimal choice.
Jianshui ceramics hail from Yunnan province in China which is also home to Puerh tea. It was traditionally used for several ceramics ranging from tiles and pipes to plates, storage jars and teaware. Because of their low porosity they are neutral in taste and suited for every tea. Many pieces are decorated by charing the clay or carving out floral patterns, which then are filled in with colorful inlays.
The size is suitable for either up to 10 minicakes or everything up to a 400g cake in chunks.
