|STORY BEHIND THE CERAMIC

This exceptional tea display is sold without the teapot and the cup you can purchase them separately in the shop.
His exclusively wood-fired pottery expresses his endeavour to convey the core of traditional Korean tea culture to contemporary tea connoisseurs.
Devoted mostly to the Buncheong style of Korean pottery, he expresses the nature-bond and harmonious spirit of Korean tea culture.
Buncheong style, originating in the 14th century, is characterised by the use of dark, iron bearing clay, decorated with a white slip in various forms, and a clear glaze.
Sugu - the Korean vessel used to both cool down the water for tea and to accomodate the infusion once it is ready, is a very universal tea accessory and can also be used for tea originating in another tea tradition. The natural, ascetic form decorated with a white slip helps enjoy the tea moments to the fullest.
